What is the Build-A-Bear Workshop® Rewards® club?

The Build-A-Bear Workshop® Rewards club is a rewards program for our Guests. Members earn 1 point for every dollar spent in participating US, Canada and Puerto Rico Build-A-Bear Workshop locations, or online at

Members earn points that convert to rewards. Members earn club benefits at their first 50 points then, reward certificates at each 100 points earned thereafter:

  • 50 Points: First Reward
  • 100 Points = $10 Reward Certificate
  • 200 Points and each 100 points thereafter = $10 Reward Certificate

How do I earn points?

Points will be awarded to club members each time the Member makes a qualifying purchase. Qualifying purchases include all regular, sale and gift card purchases made at a participating North American Build-A-Bear Workshop retail store or online at Members will earn one point for each dollar spent at the time of purchase. Points will be awarded on the net purchase dollar amount, after coupons and discounts have been applied. Fractions of dollars will be rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. Points will not be rewarded for sales tax or shipping charges. Points will not be awarded for purchases paid for with reward certificates, gift certificates, or merchandise credits. Points will not be awarded on transactions for Businesses, Corporate Accounts, resellers or transactions that receive an in-store Service Discount. Points may be removed prior to monthly reward certificate processing if any of the above are found on the account.

Why do I have to provide my email address to join the Build-A-Bear Workshop® Rewards club?

We require an email address to join the Build-A-Bear Workshop® Rewards club because your rewards will be emailed to you. Without a valid email address, we will not be able to provide these rewards to you. We will also let you know of other special Build-A-Bear Workshop® Rewards events, exclusive offers and discounts and new products. You can manage how we communicate with you by registering your account with us at and choosing your preferences. Where are my points?

Transactions will take 24-48 hours to post in your online account. Bonus points will be added to your account at the end of the month before your account is reviewed and benefits rewarded.

I signed up online. Where is my Card?

Guests who sign up online will not be issued a physical card. Simply provide the phone number in your account to receive credit for your in-store purchases.

I lost my Card, what do I do?

To receive credit for your in-store purchases, simply provide the Store Associate with your phone number or account number.

What can I use my Reward Certificates on?

Reward Certificates can be used on ANY merchandise transaction, even if it includes a coupon or promotion. Unlike coupons, there is no restriction on what you can purchase. Each Reward Certificate can only be used once and for the full amount. Any unused portion of a Reward Certificate is forfeited at the time of purchase.

Where are my certificates or rewards?

Points are reviewed on the first of each month for the prior month’s purchases. Certificates are processed by the 12th of the month and will be emailed to you within 5 business days after processing. If you are unable to locate your certificates or rewards, please check your spam folder and junk file. If you still have not received your certificates or rewards, please log into your account or register here and make sure you have a valid email address on file.

Where are my certificates? I used to receive them in the mail.

Certificates and rewards are awarded once you have accumulated at least 50 points in the previous 12-month period. In an effort to go green, we are now sending these perks to you via email. Instead of 4-6 weeks to get them, you will now get them within 5 days of certificate processing. Please register a valid email address that you would like to have your rewards sent to.

How long are my points valid?

Points will expire after the Member or Household Account is inactive for a period of one year. If a Member voluntarily ends participation in the club, all points that do not qualify for conversion into reward certificates at the time of termination will be forfeited.

Where are my Birthday Bonus Points?

You will still receive a Birthday Savings offer, provided that you enter your birthday when registering an animal at Name Me and purchasing that bear on your SFS account, but we are no longer offering Birthday Bonus Points. Instead, we are providing a variety of other benefits as part of the Build-A-Bear Workshop® Rewards club that will be available to you throughout the year.
